Overview

This special Tanzania migration itinerary, will take you to the one the best location the southern Serengeti known as Ndutu area where the migration will be there for calving at that time of the year. Millions of wildebeest migrate every year due to lack of green pasture and water. Not only the migration will be seen, there are cats like lions who always follow the migration for food, you won’t miss also cheetah who are easily spotted at Ndutu plains the southern part of Serengeti.

Day: 1 (Ndutu – Southern Serengeti)

You will have an early start through Ngorongoro to Ndutu area in Serengeti National Park. On arrival, you will have an en-route game drive to your overnight camp. After lunch and time at leisure, you will start to explore this wildlife rich area. This is the only place on earth where over two million wildebeest migrate to give birth at the same time. Meals and overnight at ndutu safari lodge. Dinner, breakfast, lunch.

Day: 2 (Ndutu full day game drive)

You will have a full day game viewing with emphasis on the wildebeest giving birth – a unique experience of the wildebeest’s annual birthing season. It is estimated that wildebeests will deliver thousands of new calves in the wilderness of Serengeti plains in a day this season. Meals and overnight at ndutu safari lodge- Dinner, breakfast, lunch.

Day: 3 ( another Ndutu full day game drive)

Today you have another early morning game drives and this is a completely new game viewing safari experience. The Southern Serengeti is the main annual wildebeest migration corridor for over 1 million wildebeest, half a million zebra and gazelle, and their accompanying cast of predators, the area features a ringside seat for one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth. Meals and Overnight at Angata tented camp. Dinner, breakfast, lunch.

Day: 4 (Ngorongoro crater)

Today after breakfast we depart to Ngorongoro conservation area home to over 125 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought after safari destinations in the world. It’s a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water. From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you’ll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa’s most recognizable faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, Cape buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa’s premier safari destinations. After the thrills and excitement of the day, you will have a picnic lunch by the park’s famous hippo pool and later drive to ngorongoro farm house for dinner and overnight. Dinner, breakfast, lunch

DAY: 5 (Lake Manyara game drive – Arusha)

Today we drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game drives. This is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks but still offers a rewarding and diverse safari experience. The lake shore at Manyara teems with bird life, and while you are looking for the birds, you might spot one of the elusive tree-climbing lions. There are a surprising number of other large mammals and the striking cliffs on the Rift escarpment form a dramatic backdrop. In the late afternoon we make a short journey back to Arusha or continue to Kilimanjaro airport or Arusha airport on board to your next destination.
